HousingWire: Tidalwave continues mortgage tech expansion, hiring Rebecca Frisbie and Zac Basile

Frisbie will lead mortgage platform efforts and Basile will run national sales

Tidalwave, an agentic artificial intelligence platform that automates mortgage origination from application through closing, has added two mortgage industry veterans to its team as the company expands its presence among large lenders.

Rebecca Frisbie joins Tidalwave as principal of the mortgage platform after serving as director of the Encompass document platform at ICE Mortgage Technology. Frisbie is the ninth former ICE employee to join Tidalwave over the past year, the company noted.

Zac Basile has joined the company as director of national sales. He previously served as director of sales at Polly and held business development and account management positions at Oracle.

Tidalwave said the additions of Frisbie and Basile will support its continued expansion as it works with some of the largest lenders in the country. Twenty-two lenders are now live on Tidalwave’s platform, including DHI Mortgage, Lennar Mortgage, Fairway Home Mortgage and NEXA Lending.

Per a release from the company, Tidalwave processed 26,000 loan applications in July alone and is on track to power 4% of U.S. mortgage originations by the end of the year. The company also reported a 100% customer retention rate over the past year, noting that every customer that has reached a renewal period has renewed its contract.

The growth comes as mortgage lenders increasingly look to automate origination processes and adopt artificial intelligence tools to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
